What a mess!

Stannington Carnival cancelled? Yes, for the first time in 40+ years the carnival was cancelled, called off by the Council for health and safety reasons following a month of rain on Friday. The park was filled with irony on Saturday, as the park was feeling the warmth of the summer sun yet not a stall was in site. There is some good news though, the carnival has been rescheduled
for the 22nd of September and hopefully it will not be a total wash-out.
